Roundtable: The Roundtable was a community organisation that included a cross section of people committed to reducing the number of Kingston residents who live in poverty. Members included retired people, social agency workers, social justice advocates, people from business and labour and people who have lived in poverty. The Roundtable was launched in January 2008 and wrapped up operations in December 2011. The Roundtable was initiated by the Mayor's Taskforce on Poverty which determined the need for a community-lead process to reduce poverty in Kingston.
